Last Friday Andrew caught Sydney's fingers in her closet door. It was pretty bad, lots of blood and all that. It never stopped her from sucking on her fingers though. I guess this is why we didn't notice how bad it was. Today, we realize that her entire nail was falling off, only holding on by the tiniest thread. I didn't dare try to pull it off though it fear that it would bleed again.
She kept messing with it all day. Pulling it back, showing everyone, trying to get everyone to kiss it.
Well.. the girls were really getting grossed out, and I was tired of hearing them squeal(like little girls)So finally I say "You think that's gross? Well, look at THIS!"
and I show them the pictures of my poor nephew's burnt hand.

i don't think it was mean. sometimes kids need a little shocker to think outside the box lol. i would have done the same thing with my own kids. speaking of evan, no kid should ever have to experience what he is! my eyes tear up every time dani makes me look at another pic of it! one more note, did sydney lose her whole nail? poor girl! seems like she is having fun tormenting her older siblings with it tho haha! kids are so fun!
ReplyDeletelast night as Sydney was going to bed. Her entire nail came off. she let me use the nail clipper to get off the little bit that was hanging. now her finger looks really weird.

hahahaha! well just wait...I still have to post tomorrow what it looked like after the blister popped....mom actually put one of the photos on her blog...I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I think that's worst then the blister.....uck! ick...eeeeww! but i'm glad you were able to terrify the children with it...:) haha
